Sir Honey's Bio Pic
Born in the ghetto of West Philadelphia, Sir Honey Davenport (James Clark) had early dreams of breaking out and creating art that could change the world. In pursuit of such dreams, Honey moved to New York in 2003 and attended the American Musical And Dramatic Academy. After graduating from college, Honey spent years touring the country and performing in some of the most popular stage musicals such as Hairspray and Dreamgirls. Davenport's work has also been seen on screen in several commercials including Soul Train, Berkley College and Teen Nickelodeon. After meeting and working alongside New York City drag diva and recording artist Peppermint Gummybear on her Hardcore Glamour world tour (USA, Germany, Ireland,London, and Australia), Sir Honey Davenport decided to put on a little bit of make-up and mascara and rock out to the beat of his own drum. With a passion for pop music and over the top fashion, Sir Honey Davenport has become New York City's newest and hottest night life celebrity.

Sir Honey is Notorious for his crazy colored mohawks , high energy powerhouse dance performances and for winning the first season of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DRAG. After kicking down the doors of NYC nightlife, Davenport maintains two of the city's most popular nights. It is Honey's artistic but understandable approach to drag. Not only is Davenport a force on the stage, but he has also taken notes from other gender bending recording artists such as Boy George, Kevin Aviance, David Bowie, and Marilyn Manson.

Last fall, Honey released his debut single  Porcelain Doll to rave reviews. Davenport released his second single  Indestructible  this summer. Always aiming to do bigger and better, he immediately traveled abroad to Germany and met up with producer Steven Toteberg to write and record his latest single,  Chameleon.  He will embark on a promo tour this fall.

Sir Honey Davenport's drag is not gender specific, and is unclassifiable by conventional "drag" standards. However it is definitely full of artistic expression. Honey Davenport's mission is to continually inspire everyone to be as expressive, accepting and as fabulous as humanly possible!
